Mr. Binford is Of Counsel with the firm's Health Care Practice Group.
Mr. Binford focuses his practice on health care law, including state and federal regulation, involving antitrust, reimbursement, integrated delivery systems, joint ventures, financial restructuring and fraud and abuse involving managed care organizations, hospitals, suppliers, insurers, and physicians.
He has been credentialed by the American Medical Association to serve as a member of the AMA Doctor Advisory Network. Mr. Binford served as chair of the Cleveland Bar Association Health Law Section and as a past chair of the annual Health Law Institute. He is an experienced arbitrator and certified mediator for the American Health Lawyers Association Alternative Dispute Resolution Service and American Arbitration Association.
Mr. Binford has spoken on legal issues confronting medical groups on behalf of the American Medical Association, Ohio State Bar Association and has conducted sessions for Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in conjunction with the school's continuing medical education program. He is a nationally recognized authority on health care antitrust law and the co-author of The Law of Medical Practice in Ohio, Second Edition.
Mr. Binford was recently selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America® 2012 (Copyright 2012 by Woodward/White, Inc., of Aiken, SC). He has been selected every year since 1997.
Mr. Binford is a former Councilman in Bratenahl, Ohio.
