Jeff is an associate in Benesch’s Corporate & Securities Practice Group. Jeff counsels entrepreneurs, venture capital and private equity funds, and other businesses on a wide range of transactions and securities offerings while providing comprehensive advice on corporate and regulatory issues.
A startup attorney at heart, Jeff has developed a niche for representing founders throughout the lifecycle of their business (from idea, to financing, to exit). Jeff has represented clients in private and public equity financings, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, project development, debt financings, securities compliance, executive compensation arrangements and governance matters.
Jeff is also well versed in the legalized cannabis industry, representing investors and founders in fund and operating company formation, as well as compliance with complex state-licensing regimes.
A portion of Jeff’s practice also involves representing social enterprises and nonprofit organizations in formation, transactional and governance matters. Jeff is dedicated to building equitable ecosystems for entrepreneurs and civic organizations to collaborate and solve social issues in the region.
Before joining Benesch, Jeff was an associate in the Boston office of Mintz Levin, where he practiced in the firm’s Energy Technology and Corporate & Securities practice groups. Jeff is also licensed to practice law in Massachusetts.
