Ms. Galli has extensive bench trial, jury trial and arbitration experience in a variety of subject matters, including patent matters. Ms. Galli regularly counsels clients in the emerging area of social media, where the issues that arise can overlap a number legal disciplines, as well as raise entirely new issues not yet addressed by existing law. Indeed, social media’s immediacy, breadth and interactive nature, combined with the limitations of the technology itself, often require a creative and innovative response to the legal issues faced by clients in the Web 2.0 world. To this end, Ms. Galli assists clients in managing their social media legal issues in a number of ways, including by conducting audits of the company’s social media use to identify areas of potential concern or exposure, drafting necessary social media policies, engaging in risk assessment and developing action plans for prospective social media issues, assisting in training company personnel on appropriate social media use and social media monitoring, and being “on-call” to address individual social media issues as they arise. As needed, Ms. Galli coordinates with attorneys in other disciplines such as employment, health care and securities, in order to ensure that the client's social media policies and activities are compliant in each of these areas.
