Benesch proudly announces its sponsorship of the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) Women Lawyers event “Leadership Skills: Navigating the Boardroom.”
Set to take place Thursday, May 31st, at the Woman’s Athletic Club of Chicago, 626 N. Michigan Ave., from 4:30 to 7:30 pm, this CLE-credited session includes an all-woman panel discussing a range of topics, including how to establish yourself as a leader within your company, promote good corporate governance, navigate the corporate boardroom, and position yourself for appointment to outside board positions.
Benesch partners Margo Wolf O’Donnell and Tara Kamradt will moderate the panel discussion, featuring top general counsel from area corporations.
“We are excited to bring together so many fantastic women leaders,” said O’Donnell. “Our clients know that businesses are more successful when their management teams and boards of directors include diverse perspectives, so, as a business-focused law firm, we are committed to doing our part to making that happen.”
O’Donnell and Kamradt were founders and are both active members and past presidents of the Coalition of Women’s Initiatives in Law, a legal association in Chicago and New York with more than 80 member law firms and companies. They also serve on Benesch’s Women’s Initiative committee.
O’Donnell joined Benesch earlier this year and is the Vice Chair of the firm’s Labor and Employment Practice Group, focusing her practice on employment-related litigation and counseling and helping clients manage risk and prevent disputes. Kamradt is a member of the Corporate and Health Care & Life Sciences Practice Groups. She represents a broad range of closely held business, including physician groups and other health care providers, counseling her clients in business transactions, joint venture matters and other commercial arrangements.
The ACC is a global bar association that promotes the common professional and business interests of in-house counsel who work for corporations, associations and other organizations through information, education, networking opportunities and advocacy initiatives.
