Global Logistics: Protecting Goods Against Loss, Damage, Shortage, and Delay | Jonathan R. Todd
ISM Cleveland Chapter Meeting
Enterprises with global supply chains know all too well the interruptions, production delays, unforecasted cost, and reputational damage that can result from the unexpected. One of those challenges is the loss, damage, or delay of goods. Supply chain risk is complicated by the inevitable use of third parties to ensure the efficient and error-free movement of goods around the world. This session will explore those risks involved in the global sourcing and use of carriers of all modes, logistics service providers, and warehouses. Attendees will take away a clear picture of the risk levels accepted by these third parties, the impact of insurance on those risks, and emerging trends in minimizing exposure.
