As a civil trial and appellate lawyer with over 20 years’ experience, Mr. Zimmerman has litigated cases involving employment discrimination, wrongful discharge, unfair competition, defamation, breach of contract, real estate, landlord-tenant, zoning, constitutional rights, elections, trusts, business and commercial law. Complementing his litigation practice is Mr. Zimmerman’s government relations practice. Mr. Zimmerman is chair of Benesch’s Public Law Practice Group. He is a member of the Shaker Heights City Council, having been first elected in 2005 and re-elected in 2009 and 2013. He advocates for private companies, non-profits and political subdivisions before all levels of Ohio government on policy, legislative and economic development issues of public concern.
