Daniel O’Brien is a partner with the firm’s Health Care & Life Sciences Practice Group. Dan’s practice focuses on counseling individuals and entities engaged in the health care industry on transactional and regulatory business matters, with a particular focus on health care deal work. Dan’s understanding of the varied health care regulatory issues facing providers allows him to bring a unique perspective to transactions that helps to solve problems and close deals.

His transaction experience includes representation of a wide variety of provider types, including nursing home owners and operators, hospitals, and home health care companies, among others.  In addition, Dan is a frequent speaker at health care conferences, particularly in the area of long term care.

Dan also has experience working with individuals and entities in the legalized cannabis industry, and has a strong understanding of what it takes to ensure compliance with complex state-licensing requirements.
