Dan O’Brien focuses his practice on counseling individuals and entities engaged in the health care industry on business transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and other strategic alliances. Dan’s understanding of the complex regulatory landscape facing health care providers allows him to bring a unique perspective to transactions that helps to solve problems and effectively close transactions.

His transaction experience includes representation of a wide variety of provider types, including nursing home owners and operators, hospitals, and home health care companies. In addition, Dan is a frequent speaker at health care conferences, particularly in the area of long term care.

Dan also has experience assisting health care providers ensure compliance with complex regulatory requirements, including licensure, Medicare and Medicaid certification and reimbursement, and HIPAA, among others.
