Frankie Wong has over 14 years of experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications covering hardware and software aspects of IC chips, handsets, base stations, subsystem controllers and system integration of 3G to 5G multi-carrier multi-mode wireless network communications standards including: LTE, 3GPP, GSM, GPRS, EDGE, CDMA, WCDMA, UMTS, WiFi, Bluetooth, WLAN, VoIP, cyber traffic securities, optical fiber communication system, MIMO antenna systems for WiMAX and hotspots, Internet of Things (IoT) control and smart appliances. Frankie has also drafted and prosecuted patent applications in technology areas covering Internet of Things (IoT) control, multimedia social network applications, computer art, flat panel displays, 3D stereoscopic displays, opto-electronics and semi-conductor devices, analog and digital circuits, chemical compositions, medical implant devices, imaging and analyzer instruments, database search algorithms, mechanical devices, liquid flow measurements, connectors, electric utility power generation, transmissions, control and measurements.
Frankie’s patent prosecution experiences span from office action responses and conducting Examiner’s interviews to Pre-Appeal Briefs, Appeal Briefs and Reply Briefs. Mr. Wong had succeeded an in-person Oral Hearing before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, and is also experienced in conducting phone and video conference Oral Hearings.
Frankie’s prior engineering career experience include over 20 years of design and manufacturing experience in RF and microwave circuits, silicon IC layout, communication system subassemblies in the Hi Tech industries in the Silicon Valley. His hands on engineering design and manufacturing experiences with up-to-date understanding of technology trends and being bilingual, are assets to retaining existing clients and supporting new clients from harvesting invention disclosures to drafting and prosecuting patent applications. Frankie is fluent in English and Chinese (both Mandarin and Cantonese), and is able to conduct inventors’ interviews and client phone interviews in native Chinese.
