Michael Meyer is an associate with the firm's Litigation Practice Group and represents large multinational businesses, institutional lenders, along with various types of creditors in lawsuits involving financing, business contracts, commercial leases, and commercial foreclosures. Michael has prosecuted and defended claims on behalf of clients serving as second chair counsel at the trial level, first chair counsel at the appellate level, and co-counsel in alternative dispute resolution forums such as the American Arbitration Association.
Michael also represents large, sometimes self-insured, companies in ERISA disputes in federal court. His experience includes defending complex claims under ERISA in a variety of employee benefits matters, including life, health, disability, and pension benefits.
Michael also represents large multinational businesses in asbestos litigation throughout the country. His experience includes defending against asbestos claims involving industrial machinery, consumer products, and commercial and residential property.
Michael represents and defends large automobile manufacturers against claims under the Ohio Consumer Sales Practices Act and Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act (lemon law claims).
