Mike has extensive trial and litigation experience, serving as lead trial counsel for numerous manufacturers in complex products liability cases around the country. Among other things, he has represented large utilities in connection with natural gas and pipeline explosions, propane, carbon monoxide fatalities, jet turbine cases, and airbag and seatbelt restraint cases. Mike has served as national counsel for numerous after-market manufacturing companies making various towing components including hitches, winches, stanchions, couplers, jacks, and other related products. Mike has represented multi-national clients in eye implant/cochlear device litigation dealing with FDA medical trials and associated liability. He represented Acromed (now Johnson & Johnson) in a case involving bone plate and spinal screws for correcting deficiencies in the spinal column. After a three-week trial in the Northern District of Ohio, the client received the largest intellectual property verdict in the U.S. that year, collecting the entire amount of the verdict, interest, and attorney fees. Mike has litigated or tried cases in Alabama, California, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Michigan, Louisiana, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Wyoming, West Virginia and Wisconsin. Mike also currently serves as panel counsel for Berkley Life Sciences and MedMarc.
