Nick is a nationally recognized trial lawyer whose practice revolves around complex commercial matters and product liability cases. He has represented a wide array of industries in state and federal venues across the country. The Legal 500 identified Nick as a leading practitioner in the field of Mass Tort and Product Liability Defense, calling him a “product liability trial expert.” He has participated in jury trials covered by The American Lawyer, National Law Journal, New York Times, Crain’s Chicago Business and various other media outlets. Nick's product liability experience encompasses toxic exposure, pharmaceutical, medical device, petrochemical, environmental, cancer cluster, tobacco, lead paint and asbestos cases. Nick has also helmed a number of significant commercial matters, include multiparty breach of contract actions arising out of energy and petrochemical sector transactions. Additionally, he has substantial experience handling class actions, false advertising matters, False Claims Act cases, trade secret misappropriation claims, and disputes stemming from noncompetition agreements. Prior to joining Benesch, Nick was a partner at Kirkland & Ellis LLP and at Greenberg Traurig LLP.
