Sara Scheinbach is an associate in Benesch’s Litigation and Energy Practice Groups, and she is a member of the firm’s Associate Development Committee and the Women’s Initiative Committee. She brings a breadth of hands-on experience in product liability, personal injury, commercial litigation, and energy litigation matters. She represents clients at all stages of litigation, in both federal and state court. Sara also has experience handling education and labor and employment matters.
Sara earned her B.A. in History at the University of Maryland, where she earned a CIVICUS citation for community service and leadership. She earned her J.D. at The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, where she graduated with honors, a Certificate in Dispute Resolution, and the designation of Public Service Fellow with Dean’s Highest Honors. In addition to serving as Chief-of-Staff for the Ohio State Journal of Criminal Law, Sara served on the Moot Court Executive Board and represented Moritz in the ABA National Appellate Advocacy Competition in Washington D.C., earning her team a “top-5 brief” designation. Sara has completed basic mediation training and Uniform Mediation Act Training, and she has served as a mediator in the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas. She received the CALI Excellence For The Future Award in Negotiation and Mediation.
Prior to her legal career, Sara taught kindergarten in a public school in Atlanta.
