Whitney is a litigation associate in Benesch’s San Francisco office. Her practice focuses on commercial litigation, intellectual property disputes, and white collar defense. Her commercial litigation practice is diverse - including breach of contract, product liability, trade secret, and business torts. Whitney has experience handling all aspects of the litigation process, including factual investigation, motion practice, written and oral discovery, and pre-trial preparations.

Some of her matters include:

  • Obtained complete defense victory representing Fortune 100 company in binding arbitration contract dispute.
  • Obtained complete defense victory representing Attorney Client in California State Bar disciplinary trial, for which Attorney Client was awarded costs.
  • Represented non-party percipient witnesses in connection with regulatory investigations brought by U.S. Department of Justice, the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Federal Reserve, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
  • Obtained dismissal with prejudice on behalf of client who successfully pursued a California Anti-SLAPP special motion to strike.

Whitney has previously assisted pro bono clients with asylum matters, DACA applications and renewals, U-Visa applications, and VAWA applications.  She has also partnered with the California non-profit group AdvoKids on juvenile dependency matters.

Whitney received her B.A. in French and Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley, and her J.D. from the University of Colorado Law School. While in law school, Whitney was selected for Colorado Law's inaugural Tech Lawyer Accelerator program and she spent seven months working full-time as a legal extern at Cisco Systems, Inc., in San Jose, California.
