Collin advises clients on the tax aspects of corporate transactions, focusing on structuring deals in ways that maximize tax efficiency and align with clients’ strategic objectives.
His experience includes tax structuring and entity conversions, navigating state and federal tax laws, conducting transactional due diligence, assisting with governance and compliance matters, and reviewing tax-exempt provisions. He also works with clients seeking tax-exempt status and helps them understand key requirements and implications.
Prior to joining Benesch, Collin served as an International Tax Intern at a large public accounting firm, where he assisted with compliance filings for clients with international operations and researched provisions of the Internal Revenue Code and U.S. tax treaties. This experience gave him a deep understanding of tax treaties and how to simplify dense provisions for clients.
