Durya Nadeem is an associate in the firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Group, where she provides strategic support on matters involving intellectual property and information technology transactions, as well as patent, trademark and copyright prosecution. Her practice also includes supporting privacy and data security matters and intellectual property litigation. Durya is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
Durya earned her J.D. from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, where she was a Moritz Scholar receiving a full-tuition scholarship. She served as Editor-in-Chief of the Ohio State Technology Law Journal and as Chief Justice of the Inter-Professional Council. During law school, she participated in the Entrepreneurial Business Law Clinic, where she provided legal counsel to startup businesses and entrepreneurs. She also served as a Fellow with the Law and Leadership Institute, teaching criminal law and mock trial procedures to high school students.
Prior to law school, Durya earned a Bachelor of Science in biological sciences and a Bachelor of Arts in public management, leadership and policy, with a minor in pharmaceutical sciences, from The Ohio State University. She was recognized with the Ohio State Outstanding Senior Award and named a Buckeye Leadership Fellow. Durya's interdisciplinary background in science, policy and law uniquely positions her to counsel clients on complex intellectual property matters at the intersection of technology and innovation.
Beyond her legal practice, Durya is committed to community service and has been recognized as the youngest recipient of the Everyday Hero Award for her work founding Peace-Builders, a nonprofit dedicated to building bridges across cultural and religious communities, and for leading the International Peace & Justice March.
