Loren has extensive experience in restructuring and has worked on complex Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases and adversary proceedings, as well as out of court restructurings and state-level enforcement actions. She has represented debtors, creditors, and other parties in bankruptcy matters including Chapter 11 restructurings, distressed asset sales, claims administration, and asset recovery.
Loren has provided legal analysis related to various debt transactions and successfully protected her clients’ interests in court by obtaining relief such as injunctions, receiverships, summary judgment, relief from the automatic stay, class certification, and Chapter 11 plan confirmation. Her work includes drafting pleadings in state and federal litigation, as well as out of court agreements and loan documents in secured transactions, refinancings, and asset sales. Loren manages serving and responding to discovery, deposition preparation, and client interviews and investigations. She maintains an active pro bono practice and is leading Benesch’s participation in an impact litigation action in the Northern District of New York on behalf of incarcerated people with disabilities.
Additionally, Loren has performed internal risk assessments, drafted internal policies and contracts, and advised clients on business reorganization, asset transactions, and adversary proceedings. Her thorough due diligence and comprehensive legal expertise makes her a valuable asset in bankruptcy law and client representation.
