With a focus on bankruptcy and restructuring, Melissa helps clients navigate complex bankruptcy matters and commercial litigation with a practical, client-centered approach. Drawing on experience as a manager in the legal department of a real estate development and leasing firm, Melissa brings a strong understanding of the legal intricacies involved in commercial property transactions and development.

Melissa has supported clients in a variety of matters, including statutory dissolution of Delaware LLCs, representing clients with claims in chapter 11 and chapter 7 cases, advising chapter 11 liquidating trusts and committees of unsecured creditors, and assisting with foreclosure proceedings of commercial mortgages. Melissa is known for her collaborative spirit, attention to detail and a commitment to delivering creative solutions for clients facing financial challenges.

During law school, Melissa served as a Writing Fellow, chaired the Alternative Dispute Resolution Team Competition and was Secretary of the Latinx Law Student Association—experiences that honed strong advocacy, leadership and communication skills. Melissa looks forward to building lasting client relationships and contributing to the success of the firm’s Restructuring & Bankruptcy Practice Group.
