Recent Articles and Presentations
Author : Megan C. Parker

Megan C. Parker, an attorney in Benesch’s Intellectual Property Practice Group, was featured in the American Bar Association’s June/July 2025 issue of Ethics, Efficiency, and Equity in IP with her article, “U.S. Supreme Court Rules No Time Bar on Recovery of Copyright Damages, Leaves Accrual Question on Repeat.”

Parker examines the Supreme Court’s Warner Chappell decision, which allows recovery of copyright damages beyond three years prior to filing and leaves unresolved whether the “injury rule” or “discovery rule” governs claim accrual. Her article outlines the ruling’s implications and the key questions that will continue to shape copyright litigation.
