Benesch is pleased to announce that Tara Raghavan, partner in the firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Group, has received the 2025 Cornerstone Award from the South Asian Bar Association of North America (SABA). This honor recognizes Tara’s nearly two decades of leadership, service and impact within the organization and her unwavering commitment to championing SABA’s mission and values.
SABA North America is dedicated to strengthening the South Asian legal community by providing a trusted forum for professional growth and advocating for civil rights and access to justice for the South Asian community.
A Past President of SABA North America, Tara has held numerous leadership roles within the organization, including service on the Programming Committee, Advisory Council and Racial Justice Task Force. She is a Trustee of the SABA North America Foundation and a Past President of SABA Chicago, where she also serves on the Advisory Council. In addition, Tara is a founder of the SABA Chicago Foundation and a board member of the Chicago Tyagaraja Utsavam, a classical Indian music and dance organization in Greater Chicago.
Tara maintains a robust Intellectual Property practice focusing on complex patent litigation, counseling, opinion work and due diligence in the life sciences and pharmaceutical industries. She has specific expertise in the Hatch-Waxman Amendments to the Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act and the Biologics Price Competition and Innovation Act (BPCIA). Tara partners with clients to navigate complex patent and regulatory issues to deliver forward-looking IP and regulatory strategies that align with commercial goals.
