Benesch is pleased to announce that Terri Taibl Soni has joined the firm as a partner in its Corporate Practice Group in Chicago. Terri draws on experience as in-house counsel and at Am Law firms and boutique practices, giving her a well-rounded perspective and the ability to anticipate issues from multiple angles. She advises private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, strategic operators and individual investors on sophisticated domestic and cross-border transactions.

Terri guides transactions from ideation through closing and integration. Clients rely on her for practical guidance on corporate governance, compliance matters and contract interpretation, as well as risk management and strategic decision-making. Her experience spans a wide range of industries, including healthcare, business services, consumer products, and food and beverage.
Prior to joining Benesch, Terri was a partner at Mercer Oak. Earlier in her career, she served as Associate General Counsel, Corporate and M&A at Cresco Labs, one of the largest vertically integrated multistate cannabis operators in the United States. She also spent nearly nine years at Winston & Strawn LLP.
Terri earned her J.D. from The University of Chicago Law School and her B.A., cum laude, from University of Notre Dame.
