Gutmacher Elected Secretary of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers

CLEVELAND, OH – January 7, 2009 – Benesch is pleased to announce that Norman W. Gutmacher has been elected Secretary of The American College of Real Estate Lawyers (ACREL), where he will serve a one-year term. In his capacity as Secretary, Mr. Gutmacher will also serve on ACREL’s Executive Committee. Norm has previously served as Chair of ACREL’s Commercial Leasing Committee and as Co-Chair of its Practice Technology Committee.

ACREL is a prestigious and highly-selective national organization of real estate attorneys recognized for their skill, experience and high standards of professional and ethical conduct. ACREL’s objectives include promoting high standards of professional and ethical responsibility in the practice of real estate law, seeking to improve and reform real estate law and practice, and making available to the bar and to the public authoritative educational materials in the field of real estate

Mr. Gutmacher is a partner in Benesch’s Real Estate & Environmental Practice Group. He focuses his practice on commercial real estate matters, particularly commercial leasing, commercial development, commercial lending, and AIA construction contract matters. His practice is national in scope, often representing national developers, national tenants, particularly tenants in the restaurant industry.
