Tax Controversies

Tax controversies inevitably arise during the course of any business and our attorneys work to find effective and creative resolutions to the tax problems of our clients. Our tax controversy practice includes representation of clients in federal and state tax audits, administrative appeals, ruling requests, and tax litigation before the various federal and state trial and appellate courts, including in particular the U.S. Tax Court and the Ohio Board of Tax Appeals. Our attorneys also assist clients in dealing with ancillary issues relating to a tax dispute, such as tax return treatment of disputed issues going forward. Along with our Public Law Practice Group, our attorneys also lobby the Ohio General Assembly to obtain favorable drafting of tax statutes.
