Vinny is an associate in Benesch's Litigation Practice Group. Growing up in Akron, Ohio Vinny attended St. Vincent-St. Mary High School, where he found his love for football. In an effort to continue playing, Vinny attended the University of Rochester, where he developed an unanticipated passion for Classics and Legal Studies. Vinny also took advantage of the opportunity to study abroad in Naples, Italy as an undergraduate. He now has a proficiency in both Latin and Ancient Greek languages, and a conversational proficiency in Italian.
As an undergraduate, Vinny was an intern at the Monroe County District Attorney’s Office, playing an active role in a murder trial that ended in guilty plea bargain. After post-secondary school, he moved back to Akron to begin work as a Senior Accounting Clerk in the international purchasing office at Bridgestone America’s Tire Operations. After beginning law school, Vinny obtained a year-long law clerk position at The Sherwin-Williams Company, in its Corporate Legal Department. At this time, he realized a passion for intellectual property law and commercial litigation. The next year Vinny joined Benesch as a summer associate, and solidified his aspirations to become an experienced commercial litigator. Having passed the bar in July, Vinny has since joined Benesch’s Litigation department, and is excited to serve Benesch’s clients with compassionate diligence.
Vinny is currently a member of the Benesch team that volunteers in the CMBA’s 3R’s Program, which visits a local high school civics class once a month to provide practical career advice and to educate inner city students on their rights and responsibilities under the United States Constitution. He has since moved to Cleveland, and is thrilled to become an active member of the Cleveland community both personally and professionally.
