As Benesch continues on its path of strategic growth, the firm is pleased to welcome Lauren Tapper as its new Chief Talent Officer. In this role, Lauren will lead efforts to scale and strengthen the firm’s industry-leading approach to recruitment and talent development while continuing to cultivate an environment where attorneys and staff can thrive.
“Benesch’s growth has always been rooted in our people and in creating opportunities for them to grow and be fulfilled,” said Managing Partner Gregg Eisenberg. “Lauren brings a proven ability to elevate those efforts, and we’re excited to see the impact of her leadership across the firm. Her insights will be instrumental in attracting and developing the kind of talent that sets us apart.”
Lauren is an accomplished leader with nearly two decades of experience in legal recruiting, professional development and human resources. Most recently, she served as Chief Legal Talent Officer at Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel, where she oversaw all facets of the firm’s talent strategy. She brings extensive experience across the full HR function, including recruitment and onboarding, diversity and inclusion, training and development, and performance management. She has consistently executed innovative programs that enhance productivity, improve retention and support long-term organizational success.
“I’m thrilled to be joining Benesch, a firm that truly values collaboration and excellence,” said Lauren. “Benesch has a forward-thinking approach to talent development and a deep commitment to fostering a culture where professionals are empowered to grow and succeed. I look forward to working alongside such talented professionals to continue building a dynamic and inclusive environment where top legal talent can prosper.”
A key driver of Benesch’s success has been its intentional investment in top-tier legal talent, bringing on high-performing attorneys—primarily from BigLaw—who share the firm’s values, embrace its entrepreneurial spirit and are committed to delivering exceptional results for clients. This strategy has helped position Benesch as a destination for the industry’s best and brightest. In the past year alone, the firm has welcomed 96 new attorneys, bringing its total headcount to more than 450.
Lauren holds a Master’s in Industrial & Labor Relations from Rutgers University and a Bachelor’s in Labor Studies from Douglass College. She is also a SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) and a Professional in Human Resources (PHR).
