Benesch is pleased to announce that Managing Associates Megan MacCallum and Vanessa Gomez of the firm’s Transportation & Logistics Practice Group have been elected to the Cleveland Chapter Board of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) for the 2025–2027 term.
Megan will serve as Vice President of Programs, overseeing the planning and execution of the Chapter’s educational programming and events. Vanessa has been elected Secretary, supporting the Chapter’s communications and governance initiatives.
CSCMP is a global association dedicated to connecting, educating and developing supply chain professionals throughout their careers. The Cleveland Chapter plays a vital role in providing networking and educational opportunities to supply chain leaders across Northeast Ohio.
Megan counsels clients across industries, modes and all aspects of the supply chain, helping them navigate the legal and business issues that impact transportation, logistics and international trade operations. She represents retailers, technology companies, distributors, manufacturers, carriers, brokers, warehousemen, and logistics providers. Her work includes compliance counseling, contract drafting and negotiation, M&A representation and strategic business guidance. Megan is trained in export controls and certified in hazardous materials compliance for ground transportation. She has been recognized as a 2024 Women in Supply Chain Rising Star by Supply & Demand Chain Executive.
Vanessa advises transportation and logistics service providers and commercial users, guiding them through legal and regulatory challenges involved in the domestic and international movement of goods. She structures and negotiates contracts tailored to each client’s operations, goals and risk profile. Vanessa also provides trade compliance counsel and supports clients in cross-border transactions. Fluent in English and Spanish, and proficient in French and Portuguese, she is a valuable resource for Spanish-speaking clients and multinational transactions, offering culturally sensitive legal advice and document translation. Vanessa is a 2025 recipient of the Top Author Award from JD Supra’s Readers’ Choice Awards.
