We draft, structure and negotiate construction contracts, architectural and engineering agreements, design-build and construction management arrangements, and project-specific joint ventures to align risk, performance targets and delivery schedules.
We emphasize front-end strategy, helping clients anticipate and resolve issues related to entitlements, budgeting, scheduling, insurance, indemnity, performance guarantees, change-order mechanics, delays, defects, lien exposure and completion milestones. We also coordinate closely with colleagues in finance, environmental and real estate litigation to ensure the construction agreements support the capital structure and long-term asset objectives.
While disputes can arise on complex projects, we work to position clients contractually and through insurance to minimize exposure and preserve leverage if a conflict develops. When issues do surface, we support clients in enforcing contractual rights and navigating claims efficiently and strategically.
