Benesch is pleased to welcome Shandice Sluch as an associate in the firm’s Litigation Practice Group in Chicago.
Shandice focuses her practice on intellectual property litigation, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets. She represents a broad range of clients in a variety of litigation matters, including the determination of copyright royalties, copyright infringement, trade secret misappropriation, right to publicity, false advertising, antitrust, and labor and employment.
She has experience drafting various substantive and procedural briefs and motions in federal and state court, including motions for summary judgment, motions to dismiss, motions to quash personal jurisdiction, and sentencing memorandum in a pro bono case involving a multi-count federal drug conspiracy. Additionally, Shandice has experience researching and drafting memoranda on issues including trademark registrability, the statute of limitations in civil copyright litigation, personal jurisdiction, federal arbitration, Biometric Information Privacy Act, and breach of contract.
Shandice earned her J.D. from the University of Notre Dame Law School and her B.A. summa cum laude from South Carolina State University.
