Bloomberg Law Quotes Nick Secco on Emerging PFAS Destruction Technologies

Nick Secco, partner in Benesch’s Litigation Practice Group, was quoted in a recent Bloomberg Law article, “Industries Driven by Risk, Regulation in Search to Destroy PFAS.”

The article examines how public and private industries are exploring emerging technologies to destroy PFAS as they respond to increasing regulatory, litigation and environmental pressures.

“Corporations have an incentive to collectively explore, research, and fund effective technologies for destroying PFAS that will first of all benefit the environment and human health and secondly reduce or eliminate liability risks,” said Nick.

He noted that companies exploring PFAS technologies should be transparent about their efforts, including announcing pilot tests, to avoid suggesting they have information about their chemicals that they are not sharing.
