Benesch is pleased to announce that Kate Harmon has been elected Vice President of the Delaware State Bar Association (DSBA), New Castle County for 2020-2021. Kate is also beginning the second year of her two year term as Co-Chair of the Women and the Law Section, one of the largest and most active sections of the DSBA. Prior to this appointment, Kate served as Treasurer to the DSBA (2018- 2020), Assistant Treasurer to the DSBA (2017-2018), and DSBA Member-at-Large (2016-2017).
As Vice President, New Castle County, Kate will continue to take an active role in assisting with the governance of the DSBA during a critical time for the association during which the DSBA will need to actively address issues of diversity, equality, and inclusion, and in which it faces the impact of COVID-19 on it members and finances.
Kate is an associate in the firm’s Litigation Practice Group and has experience handling all aspects of complex commercial litigation, corporate litigation, bankruptcy litigation, corporate governance, entity formation, non-profit representation, insurance coverage disputes, compliance and intellectual property matters across various state and federal courts.
