Kris Chandler, Chair of Benesch’s AI Commission, was quoted in Plastics News discussing the evolving role of generative AI in manufacturing and the importance of responsible governance.
Speaking at the American Mold Builders Association annual conference, Kris emphasized that while AI tools are accelerating operations, they must be implemented with thoughtful oversight.
“Even if your AI policy is only two pages… you want to make sure in that policy you say you can’t put personal information into the model that you don’t want to get out into the real world,” he said. “It’s never a good idea to just have an AI tool operating without some sort of human oversight.”
