Overview
Liz maintains a broad litigation practice, with a focus on complex commercial litigation as well as constitutional and public interest litigation. She has represented a diverse clientele including Big Four accounting firms, Fortune 500 companies, start-ups, hedge funds, labor unions, advocacy organizations and individuals.
In her commercial litigation practice, Liz advises clients on high-stakes and bet-the-company disputes involving fraud, tortious interference and regulatory compliance, as well as matters related to merger disputes, audit liability and cost-containment. She works across a variety of regulated industries, including healthcare and financial services. In her public interest practice, Liz challenges legislation that infringes on constitutional rights and protects ballot access for vulnerable communities. She maintains a robust pro bono practice, representing clients in civil rights, voter rights, disability rights and asylum matters.
Liz is skilled in all aspects of discovery, from developing targeted case strategies and identifying key evidence to conducting depositions that effectively leverage that evidence. She has argued more than ten discovery motions in federal court, frequently securing wins that influence the trajectory of a case. She has led complex, years-long discovery efforts and managed large litigation teams with many moving parts.
Strategic and tenacious, Liz is recognized for her ability to steer clients through crucial decisions and advance their objectives. She is also known for her clear, candid communication, ensuring clients are informed not only about developments in their cases, but also about the reasoning behind them and the realistic range of outcomes.
