Olivia is a dynamic litigator who thrives in high-stakes, contentious disputes. Her practice focuses on complex commercial litigation in federal and state courts nationwide, where she is known for her assertive advocacy, creative strategy and ability to turn pressure into results.
Olivia has represented clients in a broad range of disputes, including breach of contract, trade secret misappropriation, internal investigations and class actions. She also defends statutory privacy claims under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and Biometric Information Privacy Act. With a strong focus on defamation law, she represents tech companies, high-profile individuals and major corporations in all phases of defamation disputes—from cease-and-desist and retraction demands to full-scale litigation. Olivia is currently part of the team representing a voting machine company in multiple lawsuits arising from false statements made after the 2020 U.S. Presidential election, including a $2.7 billion defamation case against Fox News.
As a former public speaking coach and captain of her college debate team, Olivia brings exceptional communication skills to every case she handles. She thrives in the courtroom and during oral arguments, where her clarity, precision and persuasive style set her apart. In her representation of a Fortune 100 technology company, Olivia successfully persuaded a judge to change his tentative ruling on several motions in limine on the eve of trial.
A committed advocate beyond her commercial work, Olivia maintains an active pro bono practice. She has represented clients in death penalty appeals, Section 1983 civil rights cases, guardianship matters and small claims actions. In 2020, she helped secure a temporary restraining order on behalf of detainees at the Adelanto ICE facility in the Central District of California—a victory that earned her recognition from the ACLU.
Olivia is a founder of Benesch’s Pro Bono Committee and is part of the firm’s Women’s Initiative. She also sits on the Emerging Leaders Council for the Legal Services Corporation and teaches as an adjunct professor in Loyola University Chicago School of Law’s Moot Court program.

- Advised a global technology company in connection with negative press by international news outlets. Secured retractions from a number of journalists and government officials and successfully prevented a segment from airing on a major news network within a matter of hours, which contained negative statements and falsehoods about the client.
- Represented and obtained a favorable settlement for a global voting machine company against a news outlet in a contentious and high-profile defamation case.
- Represented Fortune 100 technology company in trade secrets lawsuit in California state court involving enterprise collaboration software brought by former potential vendor seeking in excess of $50 million dollars in damages. Helped obtain favorable settlement for a fraction of that amount on the eve of trial.
- Represented e2 Companies in high-profile Delaware Chancery Court litigation involving a contested deSPAC transaction with Nabors Energy Transition Corp. II. Benesch secured a favorable settlement including a cash payment and termination of the merger agreement, allowing e2 to exit the transaction and remain privately held—a rare outcome in “busted M&A” disputes.
- Represented major healthcare system in seeking to recover millions of dollars in errant payments made to a former and now defunct vendor. Successfully brought unjust enrichment, fraudulent transfer, and piercing the corporate veil claims resulting in a favorable settlement with one party and a multi-million dollar judgment against the remaining parties.
- Represented a major food delivery technology platform in disputes and arbitrations with merchants, consumers, contractors, and partners.
