This panel will offer an overview of varied regulatory requirements in the transportation industry. Discussions will include the new TSA ACAS requirements, regulations surrounding ecommerce and deminimus packages with CBP, FMCSA issues for brokers and carriers and Dangerous Goods issues both domestically and with the IATA accreditation requirements. Also, recent current events have significantly impacted customer supply chains in the United States and around the world.

This session will also explore those current events, including Houthi rebel attacks in the Middle East, the continuing war in Ukraine, low water at the Panama Canal, and the escalating trade war between the US and China. The experts will then focus on (1) how these events challenge the day-to-day operations of transportation and logistics intermediaries, and (2) what trade compliance best practices should be observed for intermediaries supporting import or export traffic. This dynamic and timely session will deliver critical points of consideration and implementation-ready practices for all members who directly or indirectly handle shipper’s international movements.
