A distinctive aspect of Benesch’s Environmental Law & Litigation Practice Group is the experience its members have in counseling clients on attaining and maintaining compliance with environmental requirements. Our attorneys regularly serve as members of legal teams dealing with corporate and real estate matters, and also have been involved in health care and labor and employment matters, demonstrating the pervasive nature of environmental concerns to today’s businesses. Compliance counseling requires a thorough knowledge of existing environmental regulations, laws and regulations in the pipeline, as well as the marketplace responses to perceived environmental problems, particularly those not yet regulated.

We have advised clients on federal environmental regulations under the purview of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, including those arising under the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, CERCLA, TSCA, RCRA, FIFRA, as well as state law equivalents.
