Benesch Adds 2 Associates to Chicago Office

As Benesch continues to grow its national presence, the firm has announced the hiring of a pair of associate attorneys in its Chicago office.

The firm is pleased to welcome associates Maura Levine-Patton and Alexander Moss. Maura joins the firm’s Litigation Practice Group, while Alex joins the Corporate Practice Group.

“We’re pleased to be able to meet our clients’ needs by adding talented lawyers to these important practice areas,” said Gregg Eisenberg, Managing Partner and Executive Committee Member. “Maura and Alex have the skills and experience necessary to support our clients in addressing their most complex business problems.”  

Maura focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation and class action litigation, as well as privacy and data security matters and corporate internal investigations.

Throughout her career, Maura has represented Fortune 500 companies and individual clients. She also has an active pro-bono practice and assists immigrants in attaining lawful citizenship status and represents individuals charged with criminal offenses.

Maura received her J.D. from University of Chicago Law School and her B.A. from University of Michigan.

Alex focuses his practice on private equity investments and mergers and acquisitions across a wide range of industries. He advises his clients through all stages of the transactional process, including providing counsel on corporate governance and commercial contract matters.

A versatile attorney, Alex works with a variety of clients, from smaller private entities to larger public companies both in Chicago and around the country. Additionally, he has represented private equity sponsors, institutional lenders and individuals in other types of corporate transactions, including minority investments, equity financings and fund formations.

Alex graduated with a J.D. and B.A. from the University of Michigan.

Maura and Alex are joining the firm as it continues to earn accolades nationally. Since making its debut on the AmLaw 200 list in 2016, Benesch has advanced 27 places and is currently ranked at number 168.
