As Benesch continues to expand its presence in Columbus, the firm is pleased to announce that Sarah Siewe and Michael Silverstein have joined the firm as associates in the Litigation Practice Group.
“We’re pleased to be able to meet our clients’ needs by adding talented lawyers to these important practice areas,” said Gregg Eisenberg, Benesch’s Managing Partner. “Sarah and Michael have the skills and experience necessary to support our clients in addressing their most complex business problems. We’re glad to be able to attract such outstanding recruits.”
Sarah has experience with all stages of civil litigation, including fact development, strategy conferences, pre-trial motion practice, discovery, depositions, alternative dispute resolution, and appeals. She has assisted in a variety of energy and environmental matters, from state-level regulatory compliance to major federal pipeline litigation
Sarah has also assisted clients in a wide breadth of practice areas, including contract disputes, real estate acquisitions, workers compensation hearings, professional malpractice lawsuits, and state and federal constitutional appeals.
Michael focuses on complex civil litigation, including class actions and business torts. His practice covers all phases of litigation, including written and oral discovery, motion practice, and appeals. He has worked with clients in a wide array of industries, including transportation infrastructure, healthcare, and bottled water. Michael was a member of a team that obtained denial of class certification in a first-of-its-kind Lanham Act indirect competitor putative class action lawsuit brought against a bottler. Prior to joining Benesch, Michael was an extern for Judge Karen Nelson Moore of the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
Sarah and Michael are two of over 40 new attorneys to join Benesch so far in 2021. Since making its debut on the AmLaw 200 list in 2016, Benesch has advanced 27 places and is currently ranked at number 168.
