Benesch Advises Rotunda on Strategic Investment in Capital Machine Technologies
April 22, 2025
Benesch is pleased to announce that the firm represented Rotunda Capital Partners (Rotunda), an operationally focused private equity firm, in its strategic investment in Capital Machine Technologies (Capital), a leading distributor of metal fabrication machines and robotic welding equipment.
Rotunda partnered with Capital to support the company’s continued growth amid accelerating demand in the U.S. manufacturing sector. The investment marks the beginning of a new chapter for Capital, creating opportunities to expand its product offerings and customer base.
“We were proud to advise Rotunda on this investment, which brings together two companies with a shared vision for growth,” said Connie Porter, lead partner. “This deal positions Capital to leverage its strong market presence and capitalize on the growing momentum in U.S. manufacturing.”
The Benesch team was led by Connie Porter and included Logan Bryant, Kristo Pantelides, Morgan McCracken, Roger Boyer, and Anthony Rossi. Jessica Angney and Julia Rolniak provided tax support, while Casey Kucharson, Michael Beer, and Jacob Lavis advised on the credit facility for the acquisition. Specialist support was provided by Melissa Grim, Mike Sorice, Adam Primm, Kevin Margolis, Dan Marks, Joel Pentz, Hannah Kraus, Rachit Parikh, Jonathan Todd, Robert Naumoff, and Megan MacCallum.
Rotunda’s investment in Capital aligns with its strategy of partnering with founder-and family-owned businesses in industrial distribution. This partnership equips Capital to expand its geographic footprint and enter adjacent segments of the manufacturing equipment market.
