Benesch Attorney Megan MacCallum Honored with 2024 Women in Supply Chain Award
September 16, 2024
Benesch is pleased to announce that Megan MacCallum, an associate in the firm’s Transportation & Logistics and Litigation Practice Groups, has been named a recipient of the 2024 Women in Supply Chain Award in the Rising Star category by Food Logistics and Supply & Demand Chain Executive. This prestigious award recognizes young or newer professionals (39 and under) whose achievements, hard work and vision have shaped the supply chain network.
“Megan is so deserving of this award, which is reflective of her subject matter expertise and representation of our clients and the industry sectors we serve,” said Benesch Transportation & Logistics Practice Group Vice-Chair Jonathan Todd. “She exemplifies a Rising Star in this field.”
Megan counsels clients across diverse industries and modes, providing comprehensive legal and business guidance from end to end of the supply chain. Her practice includes compliance counsel, contract drafting and negotiation, and representation in mergers and acquisitions. She represents a wide range of clients, including retailers, technology companies, distributors, manufacturers, carriers, brokers, warehousemen and logistics providers.
Megan’s approach to compliance is both pragmatic and action-oriented. She advises businesses on standing up operations, managing agency enforcement and addressing day-to-day operational and strategic challenges. Her experience spans customs, export controls, economic sanctions, hazardous materials and regulated commodities such as foodstuffs, alcohol and pharmaceuticals. Megan is trained in export controls and certified in hazardous materials compliance in ground transportation, leveraging her wide visibility in the supply chain sector to offer strategic business guidance.
“Every year, this award continues to amaze me. But this year especially, it’s all about the quality of the submissions. These women are doing remarkable things for their communities, organizations, and teams and are paving the way for future young female leaders to be a part of an industry that’s making a difference,” noted Marina Mayer, Editor-in-Chief of Food Logistics and Supply & Demand Chain Executive and Co-Founder of the Women in Supply Chain Forum.
Award recipients will be honored at this year’s Women in Supply Chain Forum, held November 12-13, 2024, in Atlanta, GA.
