Benesch is pleased to announce that the firm has been ranked #127 on the 2025 National Law Journal (NLJ) 500, rising 21 spots from #148 in 2024. This significant jump reflects Benesch’s continued growth among the largest law firms in the United States by headcount. In 2024 alone, the firm added 84 laterals, bringing its total headcount to more than 450.
The firm also ranked #15 among the 20 fastest-growing firms on the NLJ 500 since 2020, with an average annual growth rate of 11.2% and an 18.23% increase in 2024 alone. This sustained growth places the firm well ahead of industry benchmarks and underscores its continued momentum as one of the nation’s leading business law firms.
The NLJ 500 data is compiled alongside Am Law financial reporting. ALM surveyed more than 900 law firms to identify the 500 largest U.S. firms by headcount, with results published annually by Law.com Compass in collaboration with the National Law Journal editorial team.
