Benesch Continues New York Office Growth With Addition of Litigation Partner Paul J. Kremer
September 30, 2024
Benesch, one of the fastest-growing firms on the AmLaw 200 list, is pleased to announce the addition of Partner Paul J. Kremer to the firm’s New York City office. Opening its doors last June, the Benesch New York office has grown by 14 attorneys this year. Paul joins Benesch’s Litigation Practice Group, bringing his diverse experience with high-stakes commercial litigation, as well as intellectual property and commercial real estate.
Prior to joining Benesch, Paul was of counsel at Gibson Dunn & Crutcher LLP. He is a seasoned litigator known for his strategic insights and his ability to steer clients through all types of cases, from patent assertions to commercial contract and tort claims to building and construction disputes. Paul has represented a diverse array of clients, including Fortune 100 technology companies, garage startups, prestige television networks and landmark churches, and he looks forward to serving Benesch’s equally diverse client base.
“We are thrilled to welcome Paul to Benesch. With his extensive experience in high-stakes litigation and stellar pedigree, Paul brings a wealth of knowledge and a proven track record to every case,” said Managing Partner Gregg Eisenberg. “His sharp litigation instincts will be an invaluable asset to Benesch clients across the country.”
Paul was drawn to Benesch’s lean staffing model and broad array of practice specialties.
“Most clients don’t want a dozen lawyers stumbling over each other to say the same thing,” he said. “They want clear, actionable advice, and they want to hear it from the same people who are standing up for them in court. Benesch’s platform will allow me to build that client trust and still call on a deep bench of specialists who can handle all the twists and turns of litigation.”
In addition to deepening Benesch’s commercial litigation and intellectual property practice, Paul will seek to develop Benesch’s New York State and City practice. He is adept at navigating New York State’s Article 78 procedure, achieving significant successes for private litigants in a host of public policy disputes. He also has a vibrant pro bono practice, which focuses on vindicating the rights of prisoners, victims of police misconduct and transgender people. Since 2020, Paul has served on the board of New York Disaster Interfaith Services (NYDIS). He holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School and a B.A. in Political Science and Economics from Loyola University Maryland.
