Benesch Increases Chicago Office Footprint to Accommodate Rapid Expansion
July 18, 2019
Continuing its aggressive growth after a series of high-profile hires, Benesch has announced it will relocate its Chicago office to 71 S. Wacker Dr., taking on a 64,000 sq. foot space, ready to house approximately 90 attorneys.
The fast-growing firm established its Chicago presence in 2016 with two partners and is currently in a space at 333 W. Wacker with 25,000 sq. feet of space, accommodating more than 50 attorneys.
The move to 71 S. Wacker is planned for July 2019.
“We’re proud of the team we’re building in Chicago and excited to announce this move,” said Benesch Managing Partner Gregg Eisenberg. “From the beginning, we’ve been absolutely committed to doing two things in this market: bringing together talented attorneys to be part of a firm with a vibrant, entrepreneurial culture and then enabling those attorneys with the resources they need to serve clients at the highest possible level. Securing this space is all about honoring that two-part commitment.”
Benesch’s growth, achieved almost entirely via lateral hires, reflects the execution of a strategic plan launched by Eisenberg in 2015. More than 70 attorneys have joined the firm nationally in the last 18 months. And, since making its debut on the AmLaw 200 list in 2016, the firm has advanced 19 places and is currently ranked at number 176.
