Benesch Partners Hanna Conger, Christopher Grohman and Juan Morado Jr. Named Crain’s Chicago Notable Leaders in Law

Benesch is pleased to announce that partners Hanna Conger, Christopher Grohman and Juan Morado Jr., have been named to Crain’s Chicago Business Notable Leaders in Accounting, Consulting & Law of 2024. This recognition honors their professional excellence and ability to drive meaningful impact through leadership and proficiency.

This year’s leaders are distinguished professionals recognized for their outstanding management skills, mentorship and innovation within their respective fields. Honorees are chosen based on their significant contributions to their companies, industries and communities.

As a Partner in Benesch’s Energy Practice Group, Hanna is proficient in navigating the regulatory environment for energy-sector clients. She advises on grid infrastructure, utility rates and significant transactions, serving as lead outside counsel on rate-related matters. Hanna devises innovative regulatory solutions for integrating new technologies like electric vehicles and battery storage into the grid.

Chris is a Partner in the firm’s White Collar, Government Investigations & Regulatory Compliance Practice Group. With extensive experience in governmental and internal investigations, he has defended cases brought by agencies like the DOJ and SEC. A former Assistant U.S. Attorney, Chris has tried 20 jury cases and achieved significant victories, including a seven-figure damages award and a full acquittal.

Juan is a Partner in Benesch’s Healthcare+ Practice Group and Co-Chair of the firm’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Committee. He provides strategic counsel on healthcare regulatory and policy matters, advising hospitals, health systems, and other clients on compliance and regulatory requirements. Juan is a leading Certificate of Need attorney in Illinois, assisting with complex facility changes and investigations.
