Benesch Represents Accela in Acquisition of ePermitHub, Advancing AI Capabilities for Government Agencies
April 22, 2025
Benesch is pleased to announce that it represented Accela, a provider of civic engagement software for government agencies and a portfolio company of Francisco Partners and Berkshire Partners, in its acquisition of ePermitHub, a technology firm specializing in streamlined document management and plan review processes.
This acquisition represents a significant milestone in Accela’s continued growth and innovation. By integrating ePermitHub’s capabilities, Accela will enhance its product suite with AI-driven tools that automate plan review and permitting processes, reducing turnaround times and improving efficiency to help government agencies better serve their constituents.
“We’ve enjoyed partnering with the Accela team as they continue to grow, including their recent acquisition of OpenCounter and now ePermitHub,” said Benesch Partner Andrew Glickman, who helped lead the deal. “This acquisition is a natural extension of that growth and further strengthens Accela’s position as a leader in civic technology. We’re proud to support their mission to deliver intuitive, responsive solutions to government agencies.”
The Benesch team was led by Partners Andrew Glickman and Kevin Humphries, and included Alexa Shook, Morgan McCracken, Manish Mehta, David Bluestone, Carlton Hemphill, Gilbert Villaflor, Dan Marks, Shivdutt Trivedi, Sean Crowley, Melissa Grim, Emily Morrison and Adam Primm.
