Blubaugh Elected Second Vice President of Transportation Lawyers Association

Benesch is pleased to announce that Marc S. Blubaugh has been named as Second Vice President of the Transportation Lawyers Association (TLA). He will serve a one year term, effective May 2011.

TLA is an independent, international bar association whose members assist providers and commercial users of logistics and transportation services. TLA is dedicated to keeping its members ahead of the constant changes in all aspects of the specialized legal environment affecting the transportation community, regardless of the particular legal discipline involved.

Mr. Blubaugh is a partner with the firm’s Litigation Practice Group and serves as the Co-Chair of the firm’s Transportation & Logistics Practice Group. Since 2007, he has been recognized as one of the “Best Lawyers in America” in the area of Transportation Law by the “The Best Lawyers in America” publication. Mr. Blubaugh has litigated a wide variety of transportation and logistics-related cases in state and federal courts throughout the United States as well as before administrative bodies. Among other things, he has substantial experience in representing international and domestic carriers, freight forwarders, transportation brokers, warehousemen, other third-party logistics providers, shippers, and consignees in a wide variety of surface, air, and ocean disputes. In addition to litigating such matters, Mr. Blubaugh also regularly consults with clients regarding contracting and regulatory issues and provides strategic advice to minimize liability for providers and commercial users of transportation and logistics services.
