Chicago Tribune Names Benesch a Winner of its Top Workplaces 2023 Award
November 15, 2023
Benesch is pleased to announce it has once again been recognized as a Chicago Tribune Top Workplace based on the firm’s workplace culture, values, employee development and leadership. This marks the third year in a row that Benesch has received this honor. The list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by employee engagement technology partner Energage LLC. The confidential survey uniquely measures 15 culture drivers that are critical to the success of any organization, including alignment, execution and connection, just to name a few.
“We see this Top Workplaces award as a ‘badge of honor’ and a testament to the culture we have intentionally created—and continue to build—to foster an environment in which our employees feel satisfaction on a holistic level and truly enjoy working here,” said Benesch Chief Human Resources Officer Liz Gillmore.
Benesch’s reputation as a top employer is underscored by the competitive benefits it provides to its employees. Among them is the firm’s industry-leading parental leave policy, allowing up to 26 weeks (with 20 weeks paid), fertility benefits of up to $50,000, and an out-of-state medical travel reimbursement program that covers up to $5,000 for room and board, transportation, childcare and meals. Additionally, Benesch offers a flexible hybrid work model, mental health support through Lyra, childcare assistance and a recently added pet insurance benefit. These comprehensive benefits contribute to Benesch’s status as a workplace of choice.
“In today’s market, leaders must ensure they’re allowing employees to have a voice and be heard,” said Eric Rubino, Energage CEO. “That’s paramount. Top Workplaces do this, and it pays dividends.”
Benesch, recognized by Chicago Lawyer as the fastest-growing law firm in the city, proudly welcomed 83 new attorneys and 67 additional staff members across the firm over the past year. This expansion has propelled Benesch’s total attorney count to approximately 370 firmwide, reflecting an impressive 99% growth over the last five years. This dynamic trajectory underscores the firm’s commitment to excellence and positions Benesch as a leader in the legal landscape.
