Crain’s Cleveland Business Highlights Benesch as Northeast Ohio’s Largest Law Firm

Crain’s Cleveland Business featured Benesch in its annual ranking of the largest law firms in Northeast Ohio, naming the firm the region’s largest law firm based on the number of local attorneys. Benesch reported 192 attorneys and 98 partners in the Cleveland area as of mid-year 2026, retaining its position at the top of the ranking.

In discussing the firm’s continued growth, Managing Partner Gregg Eisenberg emphasized Benesch’s longstanding commitment to Cleveland, noting that the city has been the firm’s home since 1938 and remains a source of strength as the firm continues to expand. Eisenberg also highlighted the success of Benesch’s lateral growth strategy and the firm’s strong attorney retention as key drivers of its continued momentum. The publication noted that Benesch has grown to approximately 490 attorneys nationwide and recently expanded its platform with a new office in Miami.
