Dr. Chia Yun Chou Joins Benesch

Benesch is pleased to announce that Dr. Chia Yun Chou has joined the firm’s Columbus office.

Dr. Chou is a patent agent in Benesch’s Intellectual Property/3iP Practice Group. She has experience drafting and prosecuting applications in technologies including materials science, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, simulation & modeling, nanotechnology, metallurgy, electronic devices, energy devices, and medical devices. Dr. Chou has over twenty publications in journal articles, book chapters, and conference proceedings. Dr. Chou also has experience obtaining research grants through Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program to develop innovative technologies.

Dr. Chou received her Ph. D. in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin in 2014, her M.E. in Materials Science and Engineering from Texas A&M University in 2007, and her B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from The Ohio State University in 2005.

Since January 2015, Benesch has welcomed over 122 new attorneys, 54 staff members and opened a new office in Chicago. The strategic addition of these attorneys and office is another step in executing the firm’s aggressive growth plan and enables us to enhance the quality of service provided to clients.
