Jonathan Todd Quoted in ISM White Paper, “Tariffs and Inflation: Navigating Cost Pressure and Strategic Response in Supply Chain Management”

September 5, 2025

Jonathan Todd, Vice Chair of Benesch’s Transportation & Logistics Practice Group, was extensively quoted by the Institute for Supply Management (ISM) in a white paper discussing the impact of tariffs and inflation on business outlook.

Unsurprisingly, tariffs now top the list of organizational concerns in 2025, according to ISM’s most recent business outlook research. The white paper discusses the volatility of sudden tariff and trade changes, and how affected parties are balancing cautious optimism with fear of bankruptcy.

Jonathan makes clear that careful contract review and moving from long-term cohesive strategy to shorter-term triage helps organizations stay flexible, noting “I do believe that we will know soon what the future business environment looks like … We may not like where it settles, but we’ll have greater certainty.”
