Kate Harmon and Laura Seferian have been selected as 2023 Leadership Counsel on Legal Diversity (LCLD) Fellows

Benesch has chosen partner Kate Harmon and associate Laura Seferian to participate in the 2023 class of Fellows, a landmark program created by the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) to identify, train, and advance the next generation of leaders in the legal profession.
Founded in 2009, LCLD is a growing organization of more than 260 corporate chief legal officers and law firm managing partners who are personally committed to creating a more diverse and inclusive legal profession. The LCLD Fellows program, which has trained more than a thousand mid-career attorneys since 2011, is one of LCLD’s most important initiatives.
Kate is a partner in Benesch’s Litigation Practice Group. She finds joy in helping her clients efficiently identify and execute on innovative solutions to business disputes and questions. Creative collaboration with her client teams and Benesch team is her favorite part of her practice. She focuses her practice on commercial litigation across industries in Delaware’s state and federal courts as well as in courts throughout various other jurisdictions. Kate also has experience in bankruptcy litigation, corporate litigation, corporate governance, entity formation, non-profit representation, insurance coverage disputes, and intellectual property matters. Kate is passionate about diversity, equity, and inclusion and she strives to advance these principles in all areas of her life, both personally and professionally.
Laura is an associate in Benesch’s Litigation Practice Group. She has broad commercial litigation experience, where she focuses on breach of contract, fraud, and intellectual property disputes. She has developed case strategies, drafted discovery requests, and pleadings and dispositive motions. She also managed staff and vendors to complete eDiscovery and coordinate case goals consistent with clients’ business objectives. Laura successfully represented clients pro bono in civil protection order matters in the Superior Court of D.C. from inception of case to completion.
