Logistics Management Quotes Jonathan Todd on Supreme Court Tariff Ruling and Ongoing Supply Chain Uncertainty

February 25, 2026

Benesch Partner Jonathan Todd was quoted in a recent Logistics Management article, “Shippers brace for ongoing volatility amid new Section 122 tariff.”

The article examines the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision striking down tariffs imposed under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) and the administration’s subsequent implementation of a temporary global tariff under Section 122 of the Trade Act of 1974, highlighting the continued uncertainty facing supply chain stakeholders.

Todd noted that while uncertainty persists, a temporary 10%–15% global tariff may simplify compliance in the short term compared to the more complex trade measures rolled out in 2025. He emphasized that awareness and compliance remain the primary challenges for businesses and cautioned that additional Section 301 and 232 investigations are likely to be forthcoming.
